About Freed Travel

The most memorable journeys often happen between the destinations.

My wife and I have always loved Europe's great cities — the restaurants, the architecture, the energy. But after years of living in Europe and traveling the continent, we realized that staying only in the major cities meant missing another side of it entirely: the small towns, the countryside hotels, the coastal roads, the family-run restaurants, the quiet places that rarely fit neatly into a standard itinerary.

So we started building our own journeys — sometimes by car, sometimes by train, often both — through Germany, Spain, England, and beyond. We wanted trips with rhythm, character, and a real sense of freedom, not just a checklist of famous landmarks. And we fell in love with that way of traveling.

But we also learned how much work it takes to make it feel effortless. The route, the hotel location, the pacing, the train schedules, the parking, the reservations, the driving times — when those details are right, the trip feels natural. When they're wrong, a beautiful journey quickly starts to feel like project management.

I'm Tony Freed, and I founded Freed Travel for couples like us — people who shouldn't have to choose between an adventurous, off-the-beaten-path journey and a seamless, premium one.

Having lived in Europe for years, traveled it deeply, built local connections, and worked across its languages and cultures, we bring more than booking support to every trip. We bring judgment: when to rent a car and when to take the train, which places are worth the detour and which are better skipped, and how to shape a journey so it feels seamless rather than rushed.

Freed Travel designs premium European journeys built around boutique stays, beautiful routes, exceptional food, and the right rhythm for the two of you. And we don't simply hand you an itinerary and disappear — we stay available while you travel, helping with the moving parts, the questions, and the unexpected moments, so you can adapt when you need to and spend more of the trip actually enjoying it.

Your only job is to arrive, follow the flow, and enjoy Europe unfolding one place at a time — together.

How we think about your next trip

01

One name, one number

Your trip is planned by a single person who knows it cold. When something changes at 9pm in a hill town, you call them — not a queue.

02

Every mile, planned

Route, stops, the long way around, the reservation you would never have found. End to end, so the only decision left is where to pull over.

03

Designed for two

No family-size compromises. Every recommendation assumes a table for two and a calendar that answers to no one.

The best way to get to know us is to read us.
